Vice President of the EU Parliament, MEP Mairead McGuinness will be in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway this weekend following an historic week in Strasbourg. The Midlands North West Fine Gael MEP had a sensational ‘no-nonsense’ response to Nigel Farage’s antics in the EU Parliament this week as the U.K officially leaves the E.U.
MEP McGuinness will officially launch the Ballinasloe election campaign of Councillor Aisling Dolan, who is contesting a seat in the Roscommon – Galway constituency, at the Shearwater Hotel on Saturday February 1st.
Speaking ahead of the launch the MEP said Aisling is an energetic public representative committed to delivering for the communities of Roscommon-Galway.
“She will bring with her the experience of serving the community as a Councillor and she knows how to effect change working as part of the Fine Gael team across local, national and European levels.
“That is critically important since so many policy issues impacting the daily lives of the communities across the constituency are interlinked across all three areas and are critical to delivering for people.
“I’m asking the people of Roscommon-Galway to Vote number 1 in support of Aisling in the forthcoming general election,” she said.
The event begins at 7.30p.m on Saturday February 1st at Shearwater Hotel Ballinasloe.
Public, media and photographers are welcome to attend.
