New town team support fund - Strokestown

Exciting News!
As part of a comprehensive set of initiatives, my colleague Minister Heather Humphreys has announced the creation of the Town Team Support Fund. This fund aims to foster and strengthen a network of
#TownTeams across the country.
Under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme, we’re seeing investment up to €50,000 to support the development of projects that will breathe new life into our
#rural communities. Additionally, towns will receive €30,000 in funding to
create their own Town Centre First (TCF)
#Plans.
These measures have already proven crucial in helping other towns and villages attract investment and address challenges like vacancy and dereliction. The goal is to empower communities, enabling them to realise their vision.
We’re providing the tools and support needed to generate investment, attract tourism, and ultimately create better places to live, work, and raise families.
Here’s a breakdown of the new package of supports:
Town Team Support Fund: Up to €10,000 for three towns in each eligible local authority area to establish or develop town teams where they are not already well established.
Town Centre First Plan: €30,000 for each eligible local authority area to develop a TCF plan in rural towns.
Project Development Measure: Local authorities can contribute to a pipeline of significant, well-developed projects with €50,000 each, supporting two projects.
