A great day and well done to the 61,000 leaving certificate students who are receiving their results today and after a tough couple of years. We must also acknowledge the teachers who have taught and supported their students during this time & for the successful adaption of the accredited grades system/normal exams and giving students the choice.
There are many pathways open for students to achieve their career goals in 2021; through the traditional routes such as college or earn as you learn with one of the 60 new apprenticeships programs such as finance, accountancy, hairdressing, biopharma, healthcare, logistics, ICT & sales & many more. The apprenticeships programs all lead to NFQ & QQI qualifications. There are also lots of options in further education, many of which are available in your locality; check out GRETB Galway/Roscommon Education Training Board

For some students it maybe a case to take some time after a difficult two years to decide their next step, I’d encourage you to speak with family, career guidance teachers, professionals and other students who are a few years ahead of you and listen to their experiences.
There is an array of choices for students to accommodate whatever their choice of study may be.
