Fantastic fundraising event for Luke Doherty to say thank you to children's charities.
Well done to all the team
Ballinasloe Town Afc, Joby, all the organisers and to parents Louise & Vinny and a whole club community that stands together with this family.
Lovely walk down Brackernagh, Harbour Rd into Poolboy down Old Mill Road or Hall's Boreen and through Beechlawn... Still a few more footpaths to be completed! Then up by Garbally and back down the hill in Brackernagh...

And great to see all ages and Luke's classmates. Well done to the chefs on BBQ duty...v tasty!
Even if you couldn't make the run today, call in the bouncy castle might still be there!

BTAFC CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
The Luke Doherty Fun 5k Walk / Run
Some of you might already be aware that we as a club are doing a fundraiser 5km Fun walk / Run on Monday 5th June @ 1pm for u13/14 player ( Luke Doherty ).
Luke and his family have been through a very tough time of late when just before Christmas 2022 ( Luke ) was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma but he is well on the road to making a full recovery now Please God.
Both Lukes parents ( Louise and Vinny ) have very strong affiliations to Ballinasloe Town AFC. Louise’s Dad Padraig was a former chairman of Ballinasloe Town AFC with her brother Michael an exceptional goalkeeper
and committee member also , in the not to distant past.
Vinny has been involved with the club for well over 20+ years , scoring a goal in the clubs first connacht senior cup final win in 2004 in Milebush, Castlebar and is currently involved with the 13/14s management team and never fails to help annually with the club summer soccer camp.
We are asking all parents, guardians and members of the general public who would like to participate in this event for such a worthy cause to take a sponsor card and just try your very best with it.

25% To St Therese ( Children’s ward Portiuncula ) Ballinasloe.
25% to the national children’s hospital Crumlin Dublin.
