Dolan welcomes €1.4 million for schools in Co. Galway

Senator Aisling Dolan welcomes €1.4 million for 18 projects in Co. Galway. This is part of an overall fund of €31 million announced by Minister for Education Norma Foley under the Summer Works Scheme for 2021

 

The Minister said: “I am pleased to confirm the provision of a funding investment of just over €31 million to facilitate the delivery of 275 projects under the 2021 Summer Works Scheme.’

 

The Fine Gael Spokesperson for Education, Senator Dolan stated that ‘The Summer Works scheme invests in our school buildings and follow on from €160m minor works funding to support schools facing impacts of Covid-19. ‘Maintenance projects such as roof works and toilet facilities have been funded for schools all around Co. Galway. I am particularly pleased to see primary schools in Cappataggle and Glinsk in East Galway receive funding’
