Congratulations to the Ballinasloe Town Band who have won over €12,000 in new LEADER Funding!!
The Ballinasloe Town Band have been awarded €12,683.62 in LEADER funding thanks to Minister Heather Humphreys, Minister of Social Protection and Rural Affairs.
The Ballinasloe Town Band have created a new home having purchased the Parochial Hall at Dunlo, Ballinasloe which is a protected structure with the architectural conservation area of Ballinasloe town. Despite the pandemic works have continued with the development of the hall and this new funding will help with further improvements. This hall will benefit the people of Ballinasloe and its hinterland for my many generations to come.
The works to date are the result of a wonderful community spirit and efforts made fund raising.
Thanks to Noel Madden and his team who are giving the gift of music to children and adults of all ages. Now as things return to normal I look forward to the sessions which used to take place on St Michael’s square on Saturdays. Thanks also to everyone who has supported the Town Band by donating and also to the Credit Union
The Town Band is starting enrolment for the junior band for this coming September. The band provides instruments and instruction as well as lifelong friends and fun. Places are limited though so head over today and sign up!
Members must be in 2nd class or above by September 2021. Teenage and Adult members are also welcome to sign up and will be invited to be part of a separate learning track.
