€650,000 in funding awarded across County Roscommon under the new Community Recognition Fund.

Great news this morning! I have received confirmation of over €650,000 in funding has been awarded across County Roscommon under the new Community Recognition Fund.
Launched back in January, the fund aims to support the development of community infrastructure and facilities in recognition of the contribution being made by communities across the country in welcoming and hosting significant numbers of arrivals from Ukraine and other countries.
The funding is specifically targeted at projects that are located in communities, towns and villages that are hosting the beneficiaries of Temporary Protection and/or International Protection Applicants.

#Ballaghaderreen; 16 seater Community Bus to provide a local transport service €85,000
#Ballaghaderreen; Outdoor exercise equipment and civil works for installation at community park €22,000
#Ballaghaderreen; Lighting of the Community Park walkway €50,000
#Ballaghaderreen Refurbishment (internal) of Ballaghaderreen Boxing Club €20,000
#Ballaghaderreen; Upgrade of the meeting room at Phoenix Centre €20,000
#Bellanagare Community Centre; Upgrade of meeting room in Bellanagare Community Centre €20,000, Upgrade of gym & equipment at Bellanagare Community Centre €10,000, Sensory Garden Development of a sensory garden €15,000
#Roscommon Town; Retiling of Roscommon Swimming Pool €90,000
#Loughnaneane Park, Roscommon Town Resurface playground areas in Loughnaneane Park & replace play pieces €80,000
Roscommon #library/ Boyle/ Castlerea; Library sports equipment loan, The Roscommon library will 'loan out' sports equipment to communities for their use €8,000
Community Centre #Ballyleague Community Centre Upgrade of meeting room €20,000
