Vital CLÁR funding announced for East Galway and Midlands Cancer Support Centre & Ability West Mountbellew

Great news for Ballinasloe this morning with over €42,000 in CLÁR funding announced for East Galway and Midlands Cancer Support. This funding will help continue the free transportation of cancer patients to and from treatment in Galway city. This funding will help secure the future of this service, a service many rely on in our community.We are incredibility lucky to have this outstanding facility here in Ballinasloe; a safe, warm and caring environment which provides physical, practical and emotional support to cancer patients and their families.Ability West Mountbellew have also won €54,000 to purchase a new bus. This bus will no doubt be a valuable addition to their service and will mean so much to the people of Mountbellew & surrounding area.Ability West provides a wide range of day services to support people with intellectual disability and autism to achieve their goals as defined through Person Centred Planning (PCP). They also provide Residential Services, Post School Options, Self-Directed Supported Living (SSDL), Active Ageing, Multi-Disciplinary Supports & Transition Programmes.
